The NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety is established as a leading health and safety award for the construction industry, with over 4,000 successful candidates since 1989.

What kind of people take the NEBOSH National Construction Certificate?

The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is aimed at Supervisors, Managers and CDM co-ordinators within the construction industry who are required to ensure that activities under their control are undertaken safely. It is likely to prove useful for those concerned with the management of buildings who may need to ensure that contractors are working safely. The qualification is also appropriate for supervisors and managers working in other industries such as utilities, and even broadcasting, where temporary workplaces are a feature of their activities.

Is this qualification recognised?

The qualification meets the academic requirements for Technician Membership (Tech IOSH) of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework (NQF) by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.

The logos of these organisations will appear on the certificates awarded, along with the accredited title of the qualification: NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
